#610 Axew (Made from a Mountain Dew Can)

I’ve always wanted my own URL Bar.

Okay, so that joke only works if you click on the actual post as opposed to your tab. It’s not really worth it, it’s just fun for when I end up going through these posts in the future.

Okay okay, now I’ve got music playing in the background. I can post. I found that Netflix makes these posts take an hour to write. It’s great and all, but you know…stuff.

I know I have more to report back to you than that. I’ve got a handful of orders I’m making in addition to preparing for Anime Iowa (don’t quote me on that, I don’t know which con it is.)

 As I may have mentioned in an earlier post, my former high school is merging with my former rival high school. This is dubbing us the ‘Tiger Hawks’ where I once stood labelled as a ‘Tiger’. I’ve spent the day creating the school’s new mascot. I’d share it with you, but I’m afraid of putting it online before it’s confirmed or whatever.

I’ve recently taken it upon myself to start playing the guitar. I love it. I really truly do. I’m not breaking any ground here, but I absolutely love music. And I love ‘fun.’. I don’t mean to hipster out, but I was listening to fun. since 2009. So… yeah. I may as well drop some song links.

#148 Dragonair (Shiny Version)

Yeah. The shiny sprite is pink and it is beautiful. It’s an odd hobby, cutting up pop cans. Because there’s so few of us, there’s no official vocabulary. So I’ll run you through the vocabulary I’ve created. Here’s the diagram.

I made that to better inform you of my techniques. For instance, with this specimen you’ll notice that it has a smooth silver belly. I don’t care what can you’re dealing with, it won’t have that shape anywhere on it. So I took the lip of the can and slowly peeled it inside out. It really turned out marvelous.

Anyway, here’s my usual linkstorm. I watch Netflix through my computer hooked up to my TV. My TV doesn’t quite capture the color it should. Anyone else notice that How I Met Your Mother is really dark? Well, here’s the cure. And here’s a link for a program that allows you to tweak your computer’s display options more easily. It’s really great for those of us with buggy displays.

How are finals going for y’all? I figured I couldn’t just leave you hanging for that long so I scrapped up this from my facebook wall. I had completely forgotten about it. And if I haven’t, this just proves I have. That makes sense, right?

This was after Megan’s birthday, but before the idea of PKMN hit me. I have one more that I’ll post tomorrow night. It’s much better than this one.

#-004 Wyvereon

So you know that post I put up yesterday about the evolved form of Eevee that is Dragon type? I made it into a pokecan. I like it. The name comes from ‘Wyvern’, which is another word for a dragon. I’m not too dragon savvy, so don’t quote me on that.

A few posts back I had a rant about Pokemon Snap 2. Apparently, you all liked that quite a bit, so I have taken it upon myself to plot out Portal 3.

I haven’t quite decided how I’ll paint this picture I have in my head. Fan fiction sounds cool, but my friend Peter and I took classes in high school about video game design. He’s much better at it than me, but we MIGHT (as in teeny tiny chance) make it into a crappy rip-off game.

Here’s what I have decided about it so far: Chell has moved to a cottage in the middle of nowhere. Because she can’t speak, a little old lady delivers her food. Back at Aperture: a new playable character named Marg. There’s a new portal gun feature with timed portals. With timed portals, you can set up to 3 portals to go off at designated times. I realize that timed events are a pain, so this won’t be a huge part of the gameplay.

I have so much more to offer, but most of it is plot-related. I’ll work out the kinks and write some stuff out, but hopefully I will have something for you to read or play.

It’s kind of hard to convey how excited I am about this idea. If Peter and I figure out how to input portal physics into a FPS environment, most of the problems from there stem from level design. If you have level designs and want me to PERHAPS put them into this NON-EXISTENT (yet) game, send me a jpeg or something and we’ll see what we can do.

It’s done! I know there are different variatons and better versions, but I really like mine.

I’m watching an indie movie called Punching the Clown. I like it a lot. It’s about a Stand-Up Musician. It’s got a very real vibe about it.

I haven’t seen any episodes featuring Axew, so in my head it’s the cutest little sneeze you could think of. Of which you could think. Darn it grammar, you’re messing up my rhythm.

I made this one for Kimbaaa to accompany her Deino. I like it and I think it looks really cute. It’s kind of odd when I admire my own work. I could say that I distance myself, the blogger, from the person who makes the sculptures, but then it just sounds like I’m bragging about my mad objectivity skills.

And I am. I am off the hook objjective.

Tonight is the last night for the March of Dimes donatey thingy! I’m donoating a penny on behalf of each of my 2000+ followers to the march of dimes. If you want to help elevate that number before tomorrow morning, just reblog a few posts. I recommend you give too. They’re good folks.

I’m NOT saying to do this, but I totally used to do this: I would pick a subject (Adrien Brody pics, Whistling tutorials, cake recipes) and just SPAM my friends with them. Not copy/pasting, I would read up on them and make comments about them in conversation and on their blogs. Oh, man I was an annoying high schooler.

Okay, you caught me. I can neither confirm nor deny that Dragonite can use ‘Aerial Ace’. To the internet! …searching… Yes! Yes it can! In your face…me. In my face!

This little beauty is for someone who wants to mount it on a wall. I’ve sort of posed it halfway between horizontal and vertical poses. Somehow…it turned out EPIC.
